waitaki coastal escapes is all about well being, allowing your true self to remerge, through getting back to basics and living the environment you're in, to re-energize the body and mind, and soothe the soul. We believe that your sensory health plays a role here, and the best way to connect with your senses, is the use of natural essential oils extracted from plants and nature that hold super powers This escapes workshop is a mini tour of essential oils, why they are relevant, what they offer, how you can use them, Although our natural body oils and bacteria are important, we still need to wash, So what we wash with is important for many reasons, but mostly, to protect our own natural body fauna, to be in tune with our sensory well being, and to minimise unnecessary manufacturing of waste producing synthetics So, this escapes workshop is also a mini tour of soaps, what you can use to wash that fits with those most relevant criteria, what they offer, and how you can use them, You will craft your own set of scents and soaps to take home! I like to use scent rollers to apply essential oils to my body, depending on my current mood and what mood I wish to enhance, and what scent flavour I wish to smell, will determine which scent roller I use at that moment in time, You simply roll the ball top over your skin to apply the scent Soap bars are my preferred option for body and hair washing, There are three soap bases I like to use, chosen for their eco credentials, and environmental properties, they are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, biodegradable, vegan (except goat's milk), and non-GMO: Hemp soap base: made in NZ, 100% natural, NZ hemp seed oil, vegetable glycerine, mild pH, distilled water Goats milk soap base: with 10% real liquid goats milk, organic coconut oil, organic palm oil from sustainable palm oil, kosher vegetable glycerine Honey soap base: made in NZ, 100% natural, NZ bush honey, vegetable glycerine, mild pH, distilled water We add essential oils to these soap bases to craft soaps according to your needs and desires, This escapes workshop will walk you through developing your own set of preferred scents, and applying them to three scent rollers, and three soap bars, which you can take home The SCENTS & SOAPS workshop Cost: $50 Available: On Demand Included in THE 48HR ESCAPE package When: Sundays 3pm-5pm Included: 2 HR workshop 3x scent rollers $20 value 3x soap bars $20 value Extra scent rollers and soap bars available to purchase
